Our client, based near Saffron Walden, is looking for an Events and PR Executive to join their team.
As the Events and PR Executive you will have responsibility for managing our client’s relationship/activities with partnerships, publications, press, and event organisers. This is a key decision-making role with scope for you to really make your mark. Our client is ideally looking for candidates with a background in life sciences, medical or pharmaceutical, alongside experience of marketing within a product development and/or consultancy organisation.
This role is multi-faceted and one key aspect is budgeting and managing our client’s participation at events, including exhibitions and presentations. You will be responsible for coordinating and monitoring external events whether these are face to face, or digital. Working with the Head of Marketing and other internal stakeholders you will coordinate the annual calendar of external events. Additionally, you will be leading on projects which cover the full marketing mix of activities; motivating and supporting staff to create content (articles, blogs, case studies) either themselves or through colleagues; and liaising with external suppliers (design, logistics, printing, etc.) to ensure projects are on course.
It is essential that candidates have a minimum of three years working in B2B marketing alongside recent, in-depth digital experience and skills. You must be exceptional at digital marketing (including LinkedIn, Twitter and DotDigital) and must have experience using a centralised contact relationship system for contact management, list building and reporting. Candidates must have a good degree (2:1 or above) and must be passionate about marketing and creative in their approach. Proven experience planning and running events is required. Experience in hosting digital events on several digital platforms is desirable, alongside experience with WordPress as a content management system. It is essential that candidates have experience and a solid background in the full marketing scope (including events, copy writing and design). Candidates must be able to demonstrate their experience and capability of driving major marketing initiatives, including keeping projects on track and using feedback from many stakeholders to inform direction. A skilled design eye and attention to detail is essential in this role. It would be desirable for candidates to be skilled in Photoshop and photography.
