Our client, based near Saffron Walden, is looking for an HR Advisor. This is 4 month contract, ideally full time (37hrs) but part-time hours (22.5hrs+) would be considered.
Our client is looking for an experienced HR advisor for this project role. The HR Advisor will collaborate with a broad group of colleagues to further develop policy, procedures and systems, particularly looking at IR35 reforms and how these offer an opportunity to further refine business systems. Success in the role will require multi-disciplinary collaboration, broad business process competence and well-developed project management ability.
Candidates must be degree qualified or hold an equivalent qualification in a business related discipline, and CIPD Level 5 or 7 (part or fully) qualified is desirable. Candidates must have a track record of successful performance as an HR Advisor with significant experience of engaging contractors (agency and self-employed), which could be through resource management or talent acquisition roles. It is essential for this role that candidates have knowledge of off-payroll working implications for business, including engagements with a supply chain to manage e.g. employment businesses. Candidates must have confidence working with cross functional requirements (e.g. contracts, procurement, quality), and an ability to assimilate these within solutions (e.g. systems development, procedure drafting). Experience in a professional service and/or project-based business, that is reliant on attracting shortage skills, is essential and experience in a medical product design & development business would be beneficial. Candidates must have experience of working within a QMS and must have the ability to map business processes and document clear, well-structured procedures. Candidates must have significant experience of training needs assessment, design and delivery to a professional and intellectually capable audience. Candidates will need to be intermediate or advanced users if Microsoft Office and must be confident users of business systems and tools, familiarity with SharePoint capabilities/solutions is desirable.
Initially the role is home based but with a possible transition to hybrid working (home and office) as the pandemic restrictions are lifted. The contract term is 4 months, based on 37 hours per week. However, part time applicants (from 22.5hrs upwards) would be considered and the contract term would be adjusted accordingly. Due to the rural location, candidates would need to have their own transport to enable them to work in the office once restrictions are lifted.
