Our client, a leading technical innovation company based in Cambridge, is looking for a Marketing and Events Officer to join their team on a fixed term contract (9-12 months, covering a maternity leave).
You will work alongside their global marketing team that orchestrates activity across the UK, Europe, the United States and Asia. You’ll sit with a tight-knit group of three other events specialists to design, plan and manage client-facing exhibitions and hosted events.
You will be joining a department which creates world-changing products and services in consumer, industrial and energy sectors; covering everything from game changing industrial innovations focused on sustainability to breakthrough consumer devices powered by Artificial Intelligence.
Your role will include collaborating with colleagues to deliver a comprehensive marketing and events package. This will incorporate graphic design, copywriting, database management, administration, PR, social media, digital, web and much more. You’ll provide direction for the digital and social media activity surrounding events, as well as measuring the results.
Ideally you will have strong project management skills, the ability to be a team player and a willingness to turn your hand at a range of tasks to deliver outstanding results. You’ll be a natural communicator, strong on budget management, cool under pressure and happy to pitch in with your share of physical activity such as event pack-ups, setups and tear-downs.
The ideal candidate will have significant relevant experience (particularly in exhibitions) and will have proven creativity, marketing and event management skills. You will bring energy and a good eye for detail to this marketing role.
